With the development of its hubs as well as the introduction of new services and digital technologies, Airspeed, a component of SM Assets Corp.’s portfolio investments, is gearing itself for future growth.
To accommodate its booming business, Airspeed is building three e-fulfillment centers in Cavite, Paraaque, and Pasay.
Receiving and storing inventory, processing orders, choosing and packing things, and delivering orders to their final destination are all part of e-commerce fulfillment.
Airspeed supports e-commerce or e-commerce enabler platforms, which also support other businesses selling their products online in their back-end operations by doing inventory management, kitting, packing, and labeling for the various brands they manage, through these new hubs, as well as other businesses selling their products online.
To accommodate expanding demands in the logistics market as well as online transactions, Airspeed has opened additional offices in Bacolod, Negros Occidental, Cubao, Quezon City, and Carmona, Cavite this year.
This is a major change in favor of internet shopping in retail. There is a lot of work going on behind the scenes to make these crucial deliveries happen, such as ensuring that inventories are available and that the proper quantities and sizes are chosen, packed securely, shipped on time, and restocked for future orders. All of this is possible because of Airspeed, said Rosemarie Rafael, the company’s chairman and president.
Airspeed said it has been speeding up its digital transformation in addition to physical development with the launch of additional hubs.
As part of its digital endeavors, the firm has added new digital features to its systems, such as real-time order tracking, end-to-end inventory visibility, and transportation management.
UnboxMe, a cross-border delivery network for Filipinos who shop at their favorite online retailers in the United States, was launched last year.
Thanks to the new online service, items may now be delivered directly to clients’ doorsteps in the Philippines.
Another digital innovation is PinaSpeed, the country’s newest online pick-up and delivery service aimed at assisting online micro-businesses.
By becoming an Airspeed partner, PinaSpeed also gives digital micro-enterprises the possibility to improve their logistics right away.
PinaSpeed is already accessible to micro-businesses in the NCR, Rizal, and Cavite regions, with plans to expand throughout Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao in the near future.
Amazing Philippines Digital Economy Corp., which operates SpeedGifts, an online platform for worldwide Filipinos who want to send presents to their loved ones, business associates, and friends in the Philippines, is also part of the Airspeed Group.
“I’m very optimistic about what we can do for this year and the years to come. To meet those changing needs, we need to be innovative and creative and listen very closely to the pulse of the market. We remain true to our mission of providing global customers with the highest quality of logistics services and innovative end-to-end solutions, “Rafael said.
