Boracay-born culinary destination Gyukatsu Matsumura is officially expanding to Metro Manila, bringing its viral Japanese dining experience to Bonifacio Global City. Set to open this November on the third floor of Park Triangle Mall in Taguig, the new establishment marks the brand’s first direct branch in the capital following overwhelming demand from vacationers and local food lovers.

The restaurant centers its concept on authentic gyukatsu—a Japanese dish featuring a panko-crusted beef cutlet flash-fried to rare or medium-rare perfection. A hallmark of the dining experience is its interactive table-side cooking, where guests receive individual mini hot stone grills to sear each slice of beef to their exact preferred doneness. Beyond its signature gyukatsu set, the BGC menu will also feature specialized Wagyu offerings and beef-focused options.

Founder Kevin Tan shared that the decision to open in Metro Manila was spurred by consistent inquiries from guests who encountered the brand during trips to Boracay. By bringing the concept to Park Triangle Mall, the brand aims to deliver the same combination of authentic Japanese culinary techniques, quality sourcing, and warm hospitality to BGC’s community of residents, office workers, and food enthusiasts.

In preparation for the official November launch, Gyukatsu BGC opened pre-reservations for eager diners, offering early booking promotions such as complimentary Wagyu cubes for qualifying orders. The strategic location in northern BGC positions the restaurant to capture both returning fans and new customers looking for a distinct beef-centered Japanese dining experience.
