Many people have been drinking Lola Remedios because it provides their body “ginhawa” against colds, cough, nasal congestion, sore throat, indigestion, and other common health problems. These positive effects are mainly the work of its active ingredients which are known alternative remedies on a range of health issues.
Honey – Health studies show that honey can act as a natural, safe suppressant for cough and colds. It is as effective as dextromethorphan, a common ingredient used in cough medication that can be bought in drugstores. Aside from cough and colds, honey can give symptomatic relief to sleep difficulty because of upper respiratory tract infection. Honey also increases immunity and has antioxidant and antimicrobial effects on the body.
Fennel – A green and white feathery plant with yellow flowers. It is a flavorful culinary herb and medicinal plant packed with nutrients. This medicinal plant has a natural carminative that provides relief from stomach discomforts due to gas and indigestion.
Ginger – Is considered to be the healthiest and most delicious spices on earth. There are so many ways to use ginger. It’s a very common ingredient in recipes and can be used fresh, dried, powdered, or as an oil or juice. Traditionally and home remedies, ginger is used to treat muscular aches, pains, sore throats, and cramps.
Mint – A popular herb that can be used fresh or dried. It is a calming herb that is used to help soothe an upset stomach or indigestion. The aromatic menthol decongestant in mint helps to break up phlegm and mucus, making it easier for people to expel.
Clove – The antimicrobial, antioxidant, antifungal, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and anesthetic properties present in clove is useful for home medicine to many illnesses. Notable health benefits of cloves include reducing the inflammatory response in the body, reducing the risk of diseases such as arthritis; reduce the risk of developing heart disease, diabetes, and many more.
Indeed amid challenging times that includes the problems of the pandemic, a bright light can always be seen at the end of the tunnel. And with the current Lola Remedios product sampling, expect that “ginhawa” will be much closer to home.
