In celebration of the 127th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence, the stage is set once again for a grand cultural spectacle that rekindles the Filipino spirit through music, dance, and powerful storytelling.

“Musikal 3: Sa Tanghalan ng Kalayaan” will take center stage on June 12, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the Metropolitan Theater in Manila, bringing together the country’s finest artists and cultural institutions in a historic performance that honors the nation’s freedom and identity.
This milestone event is presented by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), Metropolitan Theater, and the Local Historical Committees Network (LHCN). It is co-produced by Tanghalang Pilipino, Inc. and the National Performing Arts Company.

Under the artistic direction of acclaimed director Chris Millado, Musikal 3 will showcase a stellar lineup featuring the Tanghalang Pilipino Actors’ Company, Alice Reyes Dance Philippines, Philippine Madrigal Singers, Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, and PWU Indayog Gong Ensemble. Audiences can also expect unforgettable performances from various community artists and theater icons, blending traditional and contemporary art forms to tell the story of our freedom.
This is more than just a show—it’s a cultural movement. As the theme “Balik Tanghalan ang Kalayaan” suggests, this event calls on Filipinos to return to the stage not just as spectators, but as active participants in remembering and shaping our national narrative.
