The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, eagerly awaited new episode from Amazon Studios, premieres on Friday (Sept. 9). set a very long time before the events of J. The epic drama, which is based on R. R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, follows both new and recognizable characters as they battle the reappearance of evil in Middle-earth.
The television show transports viewers to a time when “great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the thinnest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover the entire world in darkness,” according to Amazon.
On September 1, Rings of Fire made its Prime Video debut. The cast also includes Ema Horvath, Lenny Henry, Morfydd Clark, Robert Aramayo, Nazanin Boniadi, Peter Mullan, Benjamin Walker, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Ismael Cruz Cordova, and Owain Arthur.
