The Philippines, all with its 7,000 beautiful plus islands will be the centerpiece of Pioneer’s Pinta ng Tibay 2022. With this year’s theme, “Makulay na Yamang Dagat”, expect entries of our creative and talented bangkeros to feature the country’s rich and breathtaking sea elements to be put to life in their boats.

This year’s Pintura challenge is expected to bring in more than 1,000 participants from different parts of the country. Last year’s criteria for Judging include Creativity (30 percent), Relevance to the theme (30 percent), Color Combination (30 percent), and Overall Impression (10 percent).
The contest was launched last May with a period of May 4 – July 30, 2022. The open boat painting contest will feature the creativity and craftsmanship of the boat building industry ranging from 3 to 20 Meters of boats in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
Entries must use Pioneer Marine Quick Dry Enamel (PMQDE) and Pearl Glaze as paint or a combination of both for the entire boat. Non-compliance will deem disqualified. Boats must be made of wood, fiberglass or fiberglass encapsulated. The dominant color must be original/default PMQDE and Pearl Glaze colors. In case some colors needed for the design do not match any of PMQDE’s 14 colors and Pearl Glaze Satin’s 12 colors, mixing will be allowed. However, PMQDE and Pearl Glaze must still be used to achieve the desired color.
Over P 600,000.00 is at stake. The Champion will win cash prizes as well as the runners-up and Voters’ Choice awards.
Like the last contest, the judges will have a hard time deciding on the winners of Pioneer Adhesives Pinta ng Tibay Challenge.
