SEOUL — Global K-pop sensation BTS has set another milestone in live music history after surpassing legendary rock band The Rolling Stones for the biggest monthly concert gross ever recorded by Billboard Boxscore for a group.
According to Billboard, BTS generated $127.8 million in ticket sales from 12 concerts held throughout May as part of its ongoing “Arirang” World Tour, eclipsing The Rolling Stones’ previous record of $95 million, which was established in August 2019.

The record-breaking month also saw the group sell approximately 641,000 tickets, making May 2026 the highest-grossing month by any group since Billboard launched its monthly Top Tours chart in 2019.
Billboard reported that BTS’ impressive earnings were fueled by performances across North America, including four sold-out shows at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, which alone generated nearly $49.5 million in revenue and attracted around 246,000 concertgoers. Additional stops included California, Texas, and Mexico, where larger venues and higher average ticket prices contributed to the group’s record-setting haul.

The achievement marks BTS’ fourth time topping Billboard’s monthly Top Tours chart, following previous chart-leading months in 2019, 2022, and April 2026.
Since launching in April, the “Arirang” World Tour has already amassed more than $204 million in gross revenue and over 1.1 million tickets sold, with more than 50 shows still scheduled across 2026. Industry observers expect the tour to surpass the group’s previous highest-grossing trek, the “Love Yourself” World Tour, which earned $213.9 million between 2018 and 2019.

The latest figures also pushed BTS past another career milestone, with the group now surpassing $500 million in cumulative Boxscore grosses from 87 reported concerts, drawing a total audience of approximately 3.3 million fans.

Despite the historic achievement, BTS ranked fifth among the highest-grossing months ever recorded in Billboard Boxscore history. The only larger monthly grosses belong to Beyoncé, who occupies three spots, and Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s joint stadium tour.
The accomplishment comes just months after BTS reunited following the completion of all seven members’ mandatory military service, further cementing the group’s status as one of the world’s biggest live touring acts.
