And let’s not forget his signature bright red hair—dyed specifically for the role—that has become a standout feature. Though it’s still early days for the series, it’s already shaping up to be a breakout moment for the 20-year-old actor. It’s clear that Rabin has the potential to become a mainstay in Gen Z entertainment.

Can we talk about how good Rabin looks with his red hair? It makes him pop on screen, adding a bold touch to his character. But what’s even more impressive is the level of commitment Rabin brings to his roles. Initially hesitant about dyeing his hair bright red, he ultimately embraced the change to bring Yuri to life, alongside the physical training and preparation he put in for the role. This dedication to his craft is not new. He’s shown his versatility in previous roles, including Justin in The Day I Loved You and Winston in Instant Daddy, where he fully transformed into his characters. Rabin’s work ethic is undeniable, making it clear he’s committed to bringing depth to every role he takes on.

Though Rabin’s career is just getting started, he’s already showing an impressive range in his choice of projects. In 2023 alone, he took on diverse roles—from the BL series The Day I Loved You to the action-fantasy film Penduko, and now the teen rom-com Ang Mutya ng Section E. Each project showcases his ability to adapt to different genres, and with each new role, Rabin’s portfolio continues to grow, making him one of the most exciting young actors in the industry.
Despite being relatively new to the scene, Rabin has already garnered a strong and loyal fanbase. A quick search of his name on social media reveals fan edits with hundreds of thousands of likes—proof that he’s captured the attention of the next generation. His presence on TikTok and other platforms is quickly growing, with fans rallying behind him as he continues to improve his craft. As Rabin’s career progresses, it’s clear that his fanbase will only grow stronger, and their support will become an essential part of his journey.

Rabin isn’t just an actor; he knows how to serve a look. His style effortlessly blends boy-next-door charm with undeniable it-boy energy. Whether it’s casual streetwear or more polished looks, Rabin owns each outfit with a confidence that matches his rising star power. It doesn’t hurt that his face is unforgettable, with a striking resemblance to Korean actors like Hwang In Yeop and Park Jihoon. And the way he rocks his red hair? It’s clear that Rabin knows exactly how to make a statement.
For Rabin, acting wasn’t a fleeting interest—it was a calling that he felt from a young age. “Since I was a child, I’ve wanted to act because of the things I watched. I just knew it was what I wanted to do,” he shares.

Like many aspiring actors, Rabin found inspiration in the performances he saw on screen, imagining himself in those roles, telling stories, and connecting with audiences. But for him, it was more than just a dream; it was a personal ambition. “I wanted my mother to see me on screen,” he says warmly. “I’d always tell her that I’d be like that someday.”
But turning dreams into reality doesn’t happen instantly. Rabin dedicated himself to the craft, auditioning, refining his skills, and overcoming the doubts that came his way. “I auditioned, did my best, and joined workshops,” he recalls. “Eventually, I got my first role.”
The emotions of those early auditions are still vivid for him—the nervousness, the anticipation, and the excitement of becoming a character. Each workshop was a step forward, every rejection a lesson, and his first role was confirmation that he was headed in the right direction.
Through it all, his mother remained his biggest supporter, and her encouragement was the fuel for his determination. Now, as he steps into the limelight, Rabin isn’t just realizing his childhood dream—he’s doing it for his mother, his passion, and his purpose.
Ang Mutya ng Section E is a significant milestone in Rabin’s career—it marks his return to the screen after a year-long break. “I had worked on several projects before,” he reflects, “but then I took a break from acting. My manager sent me back home to Pampanga, and I didn’t work for a year.”
Though it was a challenging time, it gave him much-needed perspective. “The wait for another project was long,” he admits. “But it taught me the value of perseverance.” He encourages others who are waiting for their break: “Don’t give up. Keep learning.”
Rabin believes acting is a constantly evolving art that requires continuous growth. “Being on set teaches you so much, so never stop studying. It’s a vast field. Be patient,” he advises. He opens up about the doubts he had during his break, the struggle to stay motivated, and how Mutya helped reignite his passion.
Filming Mutya was a special experience for him. “Honestly, every day was memorable,” he smiles. The camaraderie on set was infectious, with a cast and crew that quickly bonded. “We were all close in age, so we became good friends.” One of his favorite memories? The “Dali Dali” dance scene. “We were all so energetic and playful that day,” he remembers, capturing the spirit of fun that made the long filming days feel shorter.

As for what audiences can expect, Rabin teases: “Every episode of Ang Mutya ng Section E offers something new. Prepare to be surprised, episode after episode.” With its twists, relatable characters, and gripping narrative, he promises a series that will keep viewers hooked.
Rabin’s connection to his character, Yuri, is evident. “Yuri seems to have everything under control,” he observes. “But with the guidance of Miss Anna Fleo, I was able to portray Yuri effectively. He’s soft-hearted, which I relate to. He deeply cares about his friends and will do anything for the girl he likes. In that way, I’m similar to him.”
He describes how he got into Yuri’s mindset, discovering the nuances of his character, and the support he received from his acting coach. He also shares the physical and emotional preparation that went into bringing Yuri to life, including lifestyle changes and intensive workshops.

“I stopped going out as much, worked out at the gym, and focused on eating healthy,” he explains. “I even dyed my hair for the role. I also joined numerous workshops to prepare.”
Looking ahead, Rabin has big dreams for his career. “I’d love to do action films,” he says enthusiastically. “Or perhaps play a character like Leonardo DiCaprio’s in Basketball Diaries—someone struggling with addiction. That kind of role is challenging, and I’m drawn to those kinds of challenges.” He is eager to explore different genres and tackle complex characters, admiring actors like Leonardo DiCaprio for their dedication to their craft and their willingness to take on demanding roles.
With his talent, drive, and genuine passion for acting, Rabin is undoubtedly a rising star who is steadily carving out his path in the entertainment industry, on his own terms and at his own pace.
