The global outage of technology giant Microsoft has affected the system of budget carrier Cebu Pacific and Air Asia. Airlines on Friday said they had to cancel several flights after experiencing technical issues related to the global IT outage.
Cebu Pacific said the following flights are canceled:

Both airlines advised passengers to check the status of their flights on their respective websites. The airlines also advised their respective passengers to check the status of their flights before going to the airport.
Cebu Pacific said it will notify affected passengers once the systems are working and will provide the options available. Affected passengers can avail of free rebooking and travel fund, for those who wish to postpone their flights scheduled up to July 21, it added.
AirAsia, on the other hand, offers affected passengers free change flight (up to 30 days from the original scheduled departure date), credit account or full refund. Booking changes may be done online, it added.
Meanwhile, flag carrier Philippine Airlines said its system was not affected by the outage.
