In a time where documenting everything is a given, you never know what you’ll find in your gallery.
We take our phones wherever we go – on our way to work, at our office, in the pantry. The amount of people who spend a chunk of their time on smartphones has risen so much over the years to the point that psychologists coined a term for it: Nomophobia or the fear of being without your phone.
Because of this fear, rarely do we look up from our phones anymore when walking, eating, or working. There are times when our focus is solely on our gadgets that we don’t see what happens around us anymore. Sometimes we find ourselves asking, “Did I notice someone or was it just my imagination?”
Then again, there are those who don’t need to be noticed to be felt. This long weekend, it’s not just nomophobia you should worry about. You might want to look up from your phone after reading this. You never know what you’ll find… or what will find you.
