MANILA, Philippines — Pop icons Madonna and Kylie Minogue have reached another milestone together as their collaboration on “Love Sensation” climbs to No. 1 on the UK Dance Singles chart, marking another major achievement for both artists.
The collaboration, titled “Love Sensation (Afterhours Mix)”, brings together two of the world’s most influential female pop stars for their first official recorded collaboration. The track is a remix of Madonna’s “Love Sensation,” from her latest album Confessions II, and was produced by longtime Madonna collaborator Stuart Price.
The song gained significant attention following the pair’s surprise performance at WorldPride Amsterdam earlier this month. Minogue joined Madonna onstage during Madonna’s Club Confessions performance at AFAS Live, where they performed the track together for the first time before continuing with performances of Madonna classics including “Sorry” and “Hung Up.”

The collaboration was subsequently released commercially in August, with both an extended Afterhours Mix and a shorter radio edit made available to listeners.
According to the UK Official Charts, “Love Sensation” reached No. 1 on the Official Singles Sales Chart, Official Singles Downloads Chart and Official Physical Singles Chart in the latest chart cycle. It also reached No. 8 on the main UK Singles Chart.
The achievement adds to Madonna’s remarkable chart history in the United Kingdom. The Hollywood Reporter reported that the Stuart Price rework helped Madonna secure a record fifth UK dance chart-topper in 15 weeks, with “Love Sensation” becoming the latest song to reach the summit.

For Minogue, the collaboration marks another successful chapter in her long-running relationship with dance-pop music. The Australian singer has built a decades-long career around the genre, while Madonna remains one of its most influential global figures.
The two artists had already shared a stage during Madonna’s Celebration Tour in Los Angeles in 2024, but their “Love Sensation” collaboration marks the first time they have officially released a studio recording together. (Out Magazine)
The release has been widely celebrated by pop fans, particularly given the artists’ longstanding influence on dance music and LGBTQ+ culture. Their reunion at WorldPride Amsterdam transformed what had long been a fan-requested dream collaboration into a reality.
With “Love Sensation” now dominating dance charts, Madonna and Kylie Minogue have proven that their combined star power remains as potent as ever — decades into two extraordinary careers.
