Global K-pop sensation BTS has officially launched its much-anticipated “ARIRANG” World Tour in Goyang, South Korea, marking a historic return to the stage following the group’s completion of mandatory military service.
According to a feature by Billboard, the opening night of the tour delivered a series of unforgettable moments that highlighted the group’s evolution, artistry, and enduring connection with fans. Among the standout performances was the explosive opener “Hooligan,” which set a dramatic tone for the concert, alongside a high-energy sequence of hits including “Mic Drop,” “FYA,” and “Fire,” showcasing BTS’ signature stage dominance.

The concert also blended new tracks from their latest album Arirang with fan-favorite classics, creating a balance between nostalgia and reinvention. The immersive production—enhanced by a 360-degree stage design—allowed fans to experience the show from all angles, reinforcing BTS’ reputation for pushing the boundaries of live performances.
Beyond the spectacle, the opening night carried emotional weight, as it marked the group’s first full-scale reunion concert in years. The atmosphere inside the stadium was described as electric, with thousands of fans braving rainy weather to witness the historic comeback.

Data from the Korea Performing Arts Box Office Information System further underscored the tour’s massive success. BTS’ three-night concert run at Goyang Stadium in April 2026 grossed over 27.5 billion KRW (approximately $20 million USD) and drew a total attendance of 133,032, signaling strong demand for the group’s return.
The “ARIRANG” World Tour, which began on April 9, 2026, is set to span dozens of cities worldwide, with reports indicating a massive multi-continent schedule that includes stops in Riyadh, London, Paris, and major cities across the United States. The tour is expected to continue into 2027, with Asian dates including a highly anticipated stop in Manila.

Industry analysts view the tour as one of the biggest global music events of the decade, with projections suggesting it could generate billions in revenue as BTS reasserts its dominance on the international stage.
As BTS embarks on this new chapter, the opening shows in South Korea have already set a high bar—blending spectacle, emotion, and cultural significance—proving that even after years away, the group’s influence remains stronger than ever.
