When people discuss local streetwear and urban apparel, the name Don’t Blame the Kids usually comes up. On the other hand, H&M is renowned for its broad selection of elegant and chic shapes. When you combine the two, you get the best of both worlds and a kind of cooperation we didn’t know we needed. Thanks to their collaboration, we’re positive you’ve noticed the craze on the social media of both firms. Yes, the two are releasing six unique, limited-edition designs in time for the SM Makati reopening of the Swedish clothes retailer. Everyone is enthusiastic, including you and us, so don’t blame us for wanting to purchase one as soon as the capsule collection appeared in the background.
For the first time ever, H&M and DBTK collaborate on a capsule collection.
You read that correctly; In reality, this is H&M’s first line created by a Filipino designer. The brothers Emil and Vince Javier created the local brand ICYDK, DBTK (wow, that’s a lot of acronyms) as a method to “reach out to the kids of the future while embracing their love in street fashion.” Since they opened for business in 2014, their high-quality versions of casual wear—shirts, hoodies, headwear, and accessories—have gained quite a few devoted customers. The designs are now on display at the H&M shop in Makati City, but keep in mind that they go on sale on September 8. If so, you might want to begin making appropriate plans.
We found hoodies, joggers, and more, all perfect for snuggling on a cold and rainy day; and, in true DBTK fashion, the casual and comfortable pieces are peppered with distinctive, playful, and yet straightforward illustrations. The collaboration has six “fun and surrealistically urban pieces inspired by the abode.”
The H&M stores at SM Megamall, SM Makati, Robinsons Manila, SM North Edsa, SM Mall of Asia, Festival Mall Alabang, SM City Clark Pampanga, and Ayala Center Cebu would be the only places to purchase the capsule collection.
