SB19, the popular P-pop group, made a grand comeback with the release of the music video for their latest single “DAM,” alongside the debut of the song. The music video immerses viewers in a dark, medieval fantasy world, offering a glimpse into an intense visual narrative inspired by the brutal and tragic tales of knights, sorcerers, ravens, and looming castles. Fans gushes that the MV is very much like the popular, “Game of Thrones”. This project is the result of another creative collaboration between SB19 and 1032 LAB, a team known for crafting detailed and imaginative storylines.

“DAM,” which plays on the Filipino word “pakiramdam” (meaning “feeling”), explores themes of personal values, integrity, and the sacrifices one makes to pursue their dreams. The song blends various genres like hip-hop, folk, EDM, industrial, and prog-rock, while staying true to SB19’s signature high-energy martial style that has defined their previous hits. The group shared that this track pushes their boundaries further, taking creative risks and venturing into new sonic territories, allowing them to express themselves more freely.

The music video for “DAM” quickly gained massive attention, garnering 4 million views within its first 24 hours. As of March 3, the video has already surpassed 7.2 million views, showcasing the incredible support from their fanbase.
During a Facebook Live session with Rappler, the five members of SB19 shared the message they wanted to impart to their fans. Reflecting on the song’s meaning, SB19’s leader, Pablo, shared his insights into the track. “I always ask myself, how do we go beyond what we’ve already given? How do we exceed our limits? I feel like everyone reaches a point in life where they hit a plateau. It’s comfortable, and it works—but is that what you want? Do you want to just stay comfortable and sustainable? Of course, you’ll always long for something that allows you to explore yourself and give more to others. So that’s the big question: how do you surpass your own limits?” Pablo explained.

He further emphasized the song’s connection to its title, saying, “And beyond that, there’s the question: ‘What does it feel like?’ How will you ever feel something if you don’t take the first step? If you just want to stay comfortable because it works, because it’s okay—why change it? But to achieve greater heights, you have to face the danger head-on.”

The release of “DAM” has been highly anticipated, and fans are excited about the emotional depth and layered storytelling in both the track and the music video. The single is available in both standard and extended versions, offering a preview of what’s to come from SB19’s upcoming EP Simula at Wakas.
As SB19 released their new song “DAM,” they are also ushering in a new era with the upcoming EP Simula at Wakas. The album, set for release on April 25, will continue the group’s journey of pushing musical and creative boundaries. In an interview with Rappler, Pablo, Stell, Josh, Ken, and Justin shared insights into how they prepared for this comeback. They discussed their creative process as a group, confirmed fan theories about the EP trilogy of Pagsibol, Pagtatag, and Simula at Wakas, and opened up about how they balance being in a group while nurturing their solo projects.

Pablo expressed his pride in the album, saying, “It has so many layers that when you listen to each song, it will transport you to different places, make you feel different emotions.”

In addition to the album release, SB19 is gearing up for a concert at the Philippine Arena on May 31, which will kick off their world tour starting in June. The global tour will include stops in Taipei, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Honolulu, Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, and Singapore, with additional concert dates in Hong Kong and Tokyo to be announced later.
With “DAM” marking the first single from the album, SB19 is set to captivate their global fanbase once again with a powerful combination of meaningful music and visually stunning storytelling.
