ANTIPOLO CITY, Philippines — The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) continues its landmark 50th-anniversary celebration by bringing the high-octane action of the Commissioner’s Cup to the East, as the Ynares Center plays host to a pivotal double-header this Wednesday, March 25.
The mid-week festivities offer a massive treat for Rizal-based hoops fans, featuring four teams desperate to fortify their standings in what is shaping up to be one of the most competitive conferences in recent memory.

Opening the double-header at 5:15 PM, the streaking Terrafirma Dyip look to maintain their immaculate 3-0 record and solidify their status as a legitimate title contender. Standing in their way are the Phoenix Fuel Masters, currently holding a 2-1 slate. Phoenix enters the arena with a chip on their shoulder, eager to bounce back from a narrow loss against Meralco and prove they have the defensive teeth to stop the Dyip’s high-powered offense.

The excitement reaches a fever pitch in the 7:30 PM main event as the powerhouse San Miguel Beermen seek redemption against the Converge FiberXers. After a shocking 112-119 upset in their season debut, the Beermen are under immense pressure to avoid a 0-2 start. Despite a dominant double-double from eight-time MVP June Mar Fajardo in their last outing, all eyes will be on import Marcus Lee to elevate his offensive production. They face a gritty Converge squad led by defensive specialist Kylor Kelly and rising star Alec Stockton, as the FiberXers aim to pull off a giant-slaying performance and improve their 1-2 record.
Beyond the tactical battles on the hardwood, the PBA’s visit to the Ynares Center serves as a “thank you” to the loyal fans in the East who have long championed the league. With ticket prices remains accessible—ranging from ₱30 for General Admission to ₱635 for Patron A—the league expects a packed house to witness these crucial Season 50 matchups.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early to catch the pre-game festivities as the PBA celebrates half a century of Philippine basketball excellence in the heart of Antipolo.
