Kapamilya favorites Kathryn Bernardo and James Reid have officially kicked off principal photography for their highly anticipated Dreamscape Entertainment series, Someone Someday.
The two shared behind-the-scenes glimpses on social media, marking the first day of filming under the direction of Chad Vidanes.
The announcement of their collaboration earlier this year sparked what ABS-CBN called a “crossover of all crossovers,” especially because Kathryn and James come from distinct former love teams: KathNiel and JaDine, respectively. Their reunion on screen is being celebrated by fans as a major event.
According to Kathryn, the series isn’t just about romance. She revealed that Someone Someday explores deeper themes — friendships, family, and the experiences of women. She also clarified that her partnership with James in the show is “professional” rather than the birth of a new “love team.”
For both actors, the series marks a comeback: Kathryn last headlined in 2 Good 2 Be True (2022), while James hasn’t starred in a full-length teleserye since Till I Met You in 2016.
The upcoming series also includes veteran actresses, Dimples Romana and Maja Salvador who both are also a close friend of Kathryn.
