The Department of Health (DOH) prepares all concerned agencies as it aims to vaccinate 5 million Filipinos during the three-day National Vaccination Day (NVD).
Included in the plan for the NVD are the utilization of other government offices aside from official vaccination sites, department stores, and other public places while seeking help from health care workers from both the public and private sectors including those who are self-employed according to DOH Undersecretary, Maria Rosario Vergeire.
As of Nov. 4 only 28.7 million Filipinos have been fully vaccinated while 33.7 million have had their first dose. Currently, government records show to have been able to administer 1.5 million jabs per day which according to presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, “If it continues like this that almost one million a day are vaccinated, we will actually reach our target of population protection in December,”
