Cebu Pacific, the budget carrier led by Gokongwei, has announced its renewed flight frequency to Hong Kong, which will now operate up to four times daily, with a total of 28 flights per week. The carrier anticipates a surge in passenger demand due to the more relaxed travel protocols for inbound travelers in Hong Kong.
As a result, Filipino travelers can now effortlessly experience Hong Kong’s famous shopping and food culture. Travelers will be required to present a negative result from an antigen test taken within 24 hours or a negative 48-hour RT-PCR result, along with proof of vaccination for non-Hong Kong residents aged 12 or above.
Upon arriving in Hong Kong, travelers are encouraged to take a self-arranged antigen test daily until the fifth day of their arrival, with results reported voluntarily through the Hong Kong government’s Electronic Covid-19 Monitoring and Surveillance System.
Passengers with Travel Funds can utilize them to pay for flights and other add-ons. Other payment options, such as payment centers, credit or debit cards, and e-wallets, are also available.
Cebu Pacific aims to fully restore its pre-Covid network and capacity by March 2023, with a goal of returning to profitability as early as Q1 2023 as the aviation industry recovers from the global health crisis.
