Budbod originated in the quaint town in of Taytay in the province of Rizal. It actually refers to a dish of fried or seasoned rice sprinkled (binudburan) with toppings that include meat, veggies, and more. Though essentially a rice bowl at its core, the simple but satisfying combination satisfies the stomachs of hungry locals fast, and often for affordable, which makes it easy for Filipinos to love.
And though the legend of Budbod may have originated in Taytay, BudBoys have slowly but surely carved their way in the hearts and tummy of Antipoleno’s who love affordable and satisfying meals.
BudBowl used to be the name of the eatery located near Antipolo Cathedral. But with the arrival of a new partner, the name was changed to BUDBOYS.
The wily bunch of BudBoys composed of Butch “High Blood Jr” Garcia, Ramir “Chubby Cheeks” Gabutina, JZ “Charice Pempengco” Marquez and Jobert “Sucaldito” Baricaua. BudBoys are proud makers of a delicious recipe of fried rice topped with scrambled eggs, fresh tomatoes, spring onions and our flavorful trademark meats.
Though it has been a struggle for BUDBOYS the past few months because of pandemic, this did not hinder their entrepreneurial spirit and are motivated more than ever to go full blast with the upcoming opening of their Taytay branch this coming December 1, 2020.
More than ever, BUDBOYS are now ready to be bullish with the entry of their restaurant in the land of the BUDBOD. Being hardworking and resilient, we know that BUDBOYS – Taytay branch will be the first of many.
