San Juan started mass testing residents as the city government ramped up its testing capacity with the national government’s move to hand it the reins to a “mega swabbing” facility in Manila
San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora announced that mass testing will be coordinated with the Department of Health (DOH) and Research Institute of Tropical Medicine (RITM) in Muntinlupa.
“Magkakaroon na po ang Lungsod ng San Juan ng MASS TESTING gamit ang mga Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) COVID-19 test kits sa pamamagitan ng DOH at RITM. Ito ay para sa lahat ng PUIs na San Juaneño,” he said.
(San Juan City will now have mass testing using polymerase chain reaction COVID-19 test kits with the help of DOH and RITM. The test is for all PUIs of San Juan.)
The mayor said they will also launch mobile COVID-19 mass testing that will visit each barangay in the city to conduct COVID-19 in the coming days.
