My lovely wife Lhara and I were on our way to our 10:00 am meeting. We got in the area early, and we decided to have our breakfast first somewhere in Podium. The facade and furniture and fixtures of this cafe is kind of calling us and got our attention. And from the outside, its homey space and relaxing light seem to be calling us and saying that their cafe is the perfect place for us to have our breakfast.
Located on the ground floor of The Podium Mall, Salvatore Cuomo Cafe is a casual Italian restaurant concept that caters to the huge population of diners of all ages in and around the Ortigas Center.
Italian chef and restaurateur Salvatore Cuomo, opened its first-ever cafe in this side of Mandaluyong. Cuomo, born in Naples, Italy in 1972 by an Italian father and a Japanese mother. At the age of 11, he trained himself in his uncle’s pizzeria and later polished his skills in the kitchens of some of Naples’ finest restaurants.
A cozy, elegant space with high ceiling and features warm wooden hues and an imposing vertical wine display set the tone for a laid-back all-day dining experience will greet its diners.
Salvatore Cuomo has a premium casual Italian restaurant with Japanese located in Fort Bonifacio. Franchised by the Chili’s Group, Salvatore Cuomo is known to be one of the popular Italian restaurants in BGC. And just recently, Chef Salvatore launched his new baby at The Podium Mall.
The Italian chef and restaurateur Cuomo—whose over 200 restaurants have delighted discerning gourmands all over the world—opens his first-ever café at The Podium, a stylish commercial enclave amidst bustling Ortigas Centre. “This is more casual than our restaurant and bar in Bonifacio Global City,” says Cuomo.
Lhara and I treated ourselves with the cafe’s breakfast menu, capped with a cup of good coffee.
Definitely another cafe to look out for. Especially if you work or reside around the Ortigas area. Salvatore Cuomo Cafe has a more casual and relaxing vibe, perfect for a hang out place for families and friends. Oh, did I tell you that it is also an ideal place to perk your self before going to a meeting? Visit the cafe soon and you will understand what I am talking about.
