The maker of popular oil liniment and ointment brand Katinko is investing P2 billion to expand its facilities in the country the next two years approximately, scaling up its production and expanding its product lineup following the launch of its new 36-hectare Victoria Industrial Park (VIP) in Tarlac, which was officially opened in partnership with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA).

Greenstone Pharmaceutical HK, Inc. chief executive officer Melissa Yap, whose company is the local manufacturer of the Katinko products, said this includes the expansion of their product line up for cosmetic, home care and cleaning agents.
Greenstone is the developer for the 30-hectare industrial hub, touted as the country’s first pharmaceutical industrial hub accredited by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA).
Thirteen companies have signed up to set up operations in the new ecozone, including manufacturers and distributors of medicines, cosmetics, home care, and food products, PEZA said.

“This is a bold step forward in our collective pursuit of sustainable industrial growth and nation-building,” said PEZA director general Tereso Panga. “The VIP will play a critical role in establishing a green lane for pharmaceutical manufacturing. The ecozone is designed to support both domestic and export markets, adding that a satellite laboratory of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will be established within the site to fast-track product registration and approval” added Panga.
Other confirmed locators include Lifestrong Marketing Inc., ACP Heavy Industries, Goodfield, Ethosperic Inc., Solstice ECOventures Inc., Triumphus Ventures Inc., Medinext Inc., Revitalix Inc., Kweens Ventures Inc., K Food, Verdant Dreams Hong Kong, and The Creative Ecobub for Philippine Artistry.
