June is here and it’s the most important month for BTS fans, ARMY, as it will be the 11th Anniversary of the boybands hailed from South Korea in 2013.
It was June 2022 when the famous boygroup behind hits “Dynamite” and “Butter” announces the temporary hiatus to give way to their mandatory military enlistment for 2 years. Eldest member, KIM SEOKJIN aka Jin initiate the enlistment on December 2022 followed by Jung Hoseok aka J-Hope in April 2023. Min Yoongi (Suga) enlisted on September 2023, and the four remaining members, V, RM, Jimin and Jungkook enters on the 11th and 12th of December 2023.
Jin is expected to finished his military service on June 12th, one day before the group’s 11th Anniversary. It was announce through their agency, Bighit Music and Weverse that Jin will meet their fans on the 13th and that the superstar requested for a fan meeting with their luckiest fans that will won the raffle. The prize? A handshake and light hugs from Jin himself. Talking about, Right Person Wrong Place!
Speaking of which, its almost the same title to the 3rd album release if BTS Leader, RM last May 24, 2024. His previous album, Mono (2018) and Indigo (2022) was nothing but a success, and RPWP (Right Place, Wrong Person) is not a missed as the 11 tracks album got 5 stars from NME (New Musical Express) since Indigo. The album is expected to debut at #5 on Billboard 200 this week.
BTS members has been releasing solo music and album ever since the hiatus announcement, and it was nothing but the best albums so far, Jack In The Box and Hope On The Street from J-Hope, Indigo and Right Place Wrong Person from RM, Face from Jimin, D-Day from Suga or Agust D, Layover from V and Golden from Jungkook.
Jin is expected to be the last member to release his solo album, before his enlistment in December 2022, he released a single named, “The Astronaut” whom he worked with Coldplay front singer, Chris Martin. The two groups has been working since 2021 when BTS released a cover of “Fix You” and their popular collaboration, “My Universe“.
Regarding BTS Festa, it was an annual celebration of BTS anniversary started from June 1st until June13th, groups debut anniversary. It was a 2 weeks treat to ARMY with lots of contents, including new song, unreleased dance practices, and special performances from the members. Last year, during their 10th Anniversary, mostly half of the population of the world was in South Korea to celebrate with the boys. There’s a lot of event, and as a way of saying thank you, the group gifted fans with almost 30 minutes fireworks display paid fully by the members.
