Low-cost carrier AirAsia Philippines restored its flights from Clark to Kalibo.
The flights were stopped due to the Boracay rehabilitation. The rehabilitation lasted for six months.
AirAsia CEO Ricardo Isla said that they reopened the flights because of increasing demand.
“Guests can fly from Clark, the less effort airport to either Kalibo or Caticlan, giving them more flexibility and options. Boracay is a top holiday destination and we are proud to contribute to the region’s reemerging tourism since its closure last year,” Isla said.
The budget airline has been flying to higher altitudes this year, stating record-high financial results.
In terms of revenues, AirAsia Philippines iexpects a year-on-year growth of 39 percent to P29 billion by yearend.
Said airline operates 24 aircraft on more than 500 weekly domestic and international flights.
