Coca-Cola has been a part of Philippine history since 1912 when American Businessman M.A. Clarke served ice-cold Coca-Cola in soda fountains.
From its humble beginnings, Coca-Cola has become the leading soft drink brand in the Philippines.
With the company’s philosopy of ‘Go Beyond Good’, Coca-Cola Philippines had also dedicated its energies on empowering and helping the communities in the country.
Here are some of their projects to ‘Going Beyond Good’
Going Beyond Refreshments to Sustanable Water Source
Coca-Cola made efforts in combating the water crisis by commiting to responsible water usage.
Currently, Coca-Cola has managed to replenish 124% of the water usage.
This was done through improving water efficiency and by giving water access to far-flung areas.
Going Beyond Recycling to Innovating
Coca-Cola uses plastic and aluminum in packaging its products. To help the world in combating waste problem, Coca-Cola launched its World Without Waste program.
The goal is to collect and recycle all plastic bottles and aluminum cans Coca-Cola sells. To help this endeavor, Coca-Cola invested in a state-of-the-art plastic PET bottle recycling facility.
Going Beyond Support to Empowerment
Coca-Cola supports its sari-sari stores and micro-retailers through its Sari-Sari Store Training and Access to Resources (STAR) Program.
The program aims to provide business skills, access to resources, and peer monitoring.
Since then, the program empowered the lives of more than 150,000 Filipinas in 68 provinces.
Going Beyond Product Manufacturing to Human Investment
As part of the company’s raison d’etre; that is people, Coca-Cola employs more than 10,000 individuals in making and deliving the much-loved drink.
Additionally Coca-Cola Philippines attributed its success and much of its development to its people.
