This writer and wife, Lhara lives in Pines City, Antipolo. Our office is located in the heart of GreenhillsSan Juan, where we manage our PR, events and digital agency business. We are both hands on with our business thus we usually have a hectic schedule that includes meetings with our clients who are usually based in Quezon City, Makati, Taguig and other places.
In addition to this, we are also hands on with our 5-year old daughter Adrielle, who studies in Antipolo. Before we attend to the needs of our office, we make sure that we bring her to school and as much as possible, fetch her when she goes home from her classes.
We are blessed that we are able to own a vehicle which we use to go to the office. However, when we have different schedule, and since I know how to drive, my loving wife allows me to use the family car while she uses different options like calling the company’s trusted car service provider Gideon or Mang Danny. But for schedules that requires her to go to the office, the P2P bus in Robinson’s Antipolo is truly a blessing.
The Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced on its Facebook page last October 2018 about the point-to-point (P2P) bus from Robinsons Place, Antipolo, to Robinsons Galleria in Ortigas, Quezon City. And a lot of residents of Antipolo were very thankful with this.
The P2P bus service was launched in early 2016 by what was then known as the Department of Transportation and Communication in an effort to convince people to leave their cars at home and somehow ease the traffic congestion in the Metro. It allows shorter travel, as buses depart on a fixed schedule and travel directly from the terminal to the drop-off point. The system started with just two routes and 36 buses, but the numbers have since grown to accommodate commuters from Cavite, Alabang, Novaliches, Quezon City, Makati, and even Clark.
