MANILA, Philippines — Actress Kathryn Bernardo has been named the newest brand ambassador of Ultherapy Prime in the Philippines, adding another major beauty endorsement to her growing portfolio.
Merz Aesthetics, through Vanguard Aesthetics, its regional partner and exclusive distributor in the Philippines, introduced Bernardo as the newest face of Ultherapy Prime during the annual Tala Awards held at the Grand Ballroom of Solaire Resort Entertainment City.
Bernardo, 30, joins a roster of prominent personalities who have previously endorsed Ultherapy in the Philippines, including Kris Aquino, Julia Montes, Pia Wurtzbach and Heart Evangelista.

The actress said accepting the partnership was an easy decision because she has personally undergone Ultherapy, a non-invasive ultrasound treatment designed to tighten the skin and underlying tissue.
“It has been one of my go-to treatments,” Bernardo said, adding that she typically undergoes the procedure once or twice a year.
She recalled that she first tried the treatment after her doctor recommended it, particularly because she had been conscious about her fuller cheeks when she was younger. According to Bernardo, she noticed visible changes after undergoing the procedure.
Her positive experience with Ultherapy also encouraged some of her friends to try the treatment.
‘Confidence without limits’
For Bernardo, the partnership also reflects her personal perspective on confidence and self-care.
“Ulthera helped me gain that confidence, especially with my insecurity before, which was my cheeks,” she said.
The actress emphasized the importance of being “limitless,” saying she does not want to be defined by other people’s expectations or placed inside a box.

“I think being limitless is having that courage as well,” Bernardo said.
She also encouraged people to prioritize their health, well-being and appearance regardless of age. She said developing simple habits, particularly in caring for one’s skin, can make a difference over time.
Bernardo added that people should not be discouraged if results do not appear immediately, emphasizing that self-care takes patience and consistency.
The actress also shared that she began undergoing Ultherapy while she was in her 20s and believes people do not necessarily have to wait for visible signs of aging before taking steps toward their preferred beauty and wellness routines.
At the same time, she reminded people to avoid comparing their progress with others.
“You know yourself more. Your efforts take time. And don’t compare your timeline with other people’s,” she said.
Staying grounded amid the spotlight
Bernardo also opened up about the challenges of maintaining confidence while constantly being exposed to public scrutiny and social media.
She admitted that, despite being one of the country’s most recognizable actresses, there are still days when she feels less confident or becomes conscious about certain things.

According to Bernardo, surrounding herself with family and close friends helps her remain grounded.
She said spending time away from the cameras allows her to reconnect with herself, while conversations with her loved ones remind her of life beyond the entertainment industry.
Her non-showbiz friends, in particular, help her maintain perspective by sharing stories about their everyday experiences.
For Bernardo, listening to the experiences of others serves as a reminder that the world does not revolve around her celebrity status.
Enhancing, not changing
Another reason Bernardo said she believes in Ultherapy is that the treatment focuses on enhancing her appearance without drastically changing her features.
“[Ultherapy] isn’t about changing who you are. It’s more [an attempt] at becoming a better version of yourself,” she said.
With her new role as Ultherapy Prime’s brand ambassador, Bernardo is expected to further represent the brand’s message of confidence, self-care and embracing one’s own journey.
For the actress, being confident and limitless is not about having everything figured out. Rather, it is about acknowledging one’s fears, continuing to grow and having the courage to become a better version of oneself.
