The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Isla Group Executive Committee and key officers, alongside top representatives from the ITOCHU Group, Isla’s strategic partner. During the event, leadership emphasized that the new facility is a testament to the company’s commitment to expanding LPG supply capacity and strengthening energy security across the Philippines.

“This project has been on our drawing board for over ten years. Now that we finally have our own home, our hope is to use this facility to support the industry here in South Luzon and work proactively to improve logistics for all players,” Delgado shared. “Our partnership with Magsaysay Shipping to launch our own LPG tanker further enhances this, allowing us to deliver energy across the archipelago for the benefit of the entire industry and the delight of our customers.”
Delgado emphasized that the terminal’s ability to handle cargo from Filipino-Japanese joint ventures is a game-changer. This collaboration, exemplified by firms like ITOCHU CORPORATION, strengthens the country’s energy security by opening supply routes outside the Persian Gulf.

The event underscored a robust collaboration between the private sector and the government, that include Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines, His Excellency Kazuya Endo, Secretary Maria Cristina Aldegue-Roque from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Undersecretary Alessandro Sales from the Department of Energy (DOE), and the Local Government of Batangas City headed by Batangas City Mayor Mario Vittorio A. Mariño, gracing this special event.
