In the heart of Pasig City, high above the bustle of the streets, the penthouse of Sta. Lucia transforms into a sanctuary for basketball enthusiasts every Tuesday and Thursday. This is the home of the VIP Manila Ballers Club, a community that has quickly evolved from a simple “papawis” session into a premier destination for organized, disciplined, and high-energy basketball.
The Birth of a Community
Founded in December 2024, the club was born out of a desire to play the game “the right way.” While many local leagues struggle with organization or overly aggressive play, VIP Manila Ballers Club set a different tone from day one. The focus was simple: create an environment centered on cardio, health, and a shared love for the sport.

“Nag-start ito bilang isang simple papawis at local league setup para sa mga guys na genuinely love basketball,” says Drew Raganit, the driving force and organizer behind the club. “The main goal was to create organized games with solid competition, good discipline, and a positive environment.”
Leadership and the VIP Standard
What sets this group apart is the meticulous management provided by Raganit, who also heads VIP Manila Clothing and Sportswear. Under his leadership, the club balances casual pick-up games with structured tournaments.

The tournament format is uniquely designed to ensure fairness and parity. Every season, “Captain Balls” are assigned to represent their teams and draft from a pool of confirmed players. This draft system ensures that no single team dominates, keeping the competition fierce but friendly.
For Raganit, the project is a blend of his business acumen and his personal history with the hardwood.

More Than Just a Brand
The synergy between the Ballers Club and VIP Manila Clothing (which launched in October 2023) is evident on the court. The brand isn’t just a sponsor; it is the uniform of the community.

A Culture of Respect
As the club approaches its second year, the roster of players continues to grow. Yet, despite the increasing numbers, the “small-town” feel of the camaraderie remains intact. The “no yabangan” (no arrogance) policy is felt in every huddle and every fast break.

Join the Movement
The VIP Manila Ballers Club is always looking for new members who value sportsmanship as much as a good jump shot. Whether you are looking for that much-needed cardio or the thrill of a well-organized league, the penthouse at Sta. Lucia is the place to be.
“Sa lahat ng mga ballers diyan, we are inviting you na maging part ng VIP Manila Ballers Club,” Raganit concludes. “Kung mahal mo ang basketball, gusto mo ng maayos na laro, solid na competition, at good vibes na community, welcome ka dito.”
