SOUTH KOREA — Global K-pop phenomenon BTS has officially confirmed its long-awaited return, announcing the release of its fifth full-length studio album in March 2026 while teasing an upcoming world tour through a newly launched countdown website.
According to Big Hit Music, the seven-member group’s new album will be released on March 20, 2026, marking BTS’ first full-group studio release since Be in 2020 and their first major comeback following the completion of all members’ mandatory military service.

The announcement was accompanied by the unveiling of an official countdown website, which features timers leading up to key comeback milestones, including album release details and tour announcements. The site has fueled anticipation among fans worldwide, signaling the start of BTS’ full-scale promotional rollout.

The upcoming album is expected to contain 14 tracks, with the group describing the project as a reflection of the members’ individual growth and experiences over the past several years. During their hiatus, BTS members focused on solo activities while fulfilling national service obligations.
In a separate notice, Big Hit Music confirmed that BTS will also embark on a world tour in support of the new album. Details regarding tour dates and locations are scheduled to be revealed on January 14, while album pre-orders will begin on January 16.

The tour will be BTS’ first global concert series since their 2022 Permission to Dance On Stage shows, which concluded with sold-out performances in major cities across Asia and the United States.
Industry observers note that BTS’ return is expected to have a significant impact on the global music scene, given the group’s history of chart-topping releases, record-breaking tours and cultural influence.
Further announcements, including track listings and promotional content, are expected in the coming weeks as the countdown continues.
