The Land Bank of the Philippines has reached a significant milestone in its digital transformation journey, recording a staggering P3.14 trillion in digital transactions during the first nine months of 2025. This achievement represents a 36% increase in transaction value and a 27% rise in volume compared to the same period in 2024, signaling a robust shift among Filipinos toward cashless and online financial solutions. By processing over 550 million online transactions across its various platforms, the state-run lender has solidified its role as a primary driver of financial inclusion and digital modernization in the country.

Much of this growth can be attributed to the widespread adoption of the Landbank Mobile Banking App (MBA), which continues to be the preferred choice for retail customers. The app alone accounted for nearly 492.44 million transactions valued at P418.40 billion, reflecting the bank’s successful efforts to make banking accessible through smartphones. Meanwhile, institutional and government sectors have also leaned heavily into digital channels, with the weAccess platform handling P1.29 trillion in value, largely driven by a surge in ATM payroll disbursements. Additionally, the Electronic Modified Disbursement System (eMDS) facilitated P1.14 trillion in government payouts, highlighting the public sector’s increasing reliance on efficient, transparent digital disbursement systems.

Beyond the major urban centers, Landbank has made significant strides in reaching underserved communities through its LANDBANKasama Program. This agent banking network recorded P11.68 billion in transactions, providing essential financial services to residents in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas. Executive Vice President Leila Martin emphasized that the core of this digital evolution is to make life easier and more secure for every Filipino, rather than simply competing with other financial institutions. As Landbank continues to upgrade its infrastructure and introduce new portals, such as the co-developed VAT on Digital Services (VDS) portal with the BIR, it remains at the forefront of the nation’s goal toward a truly inclusive digital economy.
