Natálie Puškinová of the Czech Republic was crowned Miss Earth 2025 during a glittering coronation night held at Okada Manila on November 5, marking the silver jubilee of the international pageant. Besting more than 80 contestants from across the globe, Puškinová brought home the Czech Republic’s second Miss Earth crown, the first since Tereza Fajksová’s victory in 2012.

In the final question-and-answer segment, Puškinová impressed both the judges and the audience with her eloquence. Speaking in English and closing her message in Filipino, she urged:
“Protektahan natin ang kalikasan.”
(Let us protect nature.)
The elemental court was completed by Sóldís Ívarsdóttir of Iceland as Miss Earth Air, Trịnh Mỹ Anh of Vietnam as Miss Earth Water, and Waree Ngamkham of Thailand as Miss Earth Fire. Puškinová’s advocacy focuses on food-waste management through her campaign “From Plate to Planet,” reflecting her commitment to sustainability alongside her studies in Marketing and Public Relations at Charles University in Prague.

For the Philippines, Joy Barcoma delivered a memorable performance, finishing as runner-up in the top eight. Although she narrowly missed the crown, Barcoma’s grace, intelligence, and charm earned widespread praise from fans and pageant observers alike.
Immediately after the event, Barcoma took to social media to express her gratitude. “Maraming salamat, Pilipinas!” she wrote, thanking her supporters for their unwavering encouragement. With characteristic wit, she also joked about her name trending online, dubbing herself the “silver lining queen” in honor of the pageant’s anniversary theme. Her posts, described as “graceful, grateful, and witty” by GMA News, captured the admiration of fans worldwide.

The Miss Earth 2025 pageant, themed “The Silver Lining,” continues to highlight the intersection of beauty, intelligence, and advocacy. Puškinová’s victory shines a spotlight on global environmental causes, while Barcoma’s strong showing reinforces the Philippines’ reputation as a pageant powerhouse.
As the competition celebrated its 25th year, the crowning of contestants who combine purpose with poise served as a reminder that Miss Earth is more than a beauty pageant—it is a platform for environmental advocacy and international camaraderie.
