SEOUL — BTS rapper and dancer J-Hope made a stunning return to the global music scene with the release of his latest single, “Killin’ It Girl,” on June 13. Dropped on the same day as his 12th debut anniversary, the track has quickly proven to be a commercial and critical success, earning him new milestones in his solo career.


Within 24 hours of release, “Killin’ It Girl” — both the solo version and a remix featuring American rapper GloRilla — surged to the top of international music charts. The track reached #24 on Spotify’s Global Weekly Top Songs chart, becoming J-Hope’s highest solo entry to date. The song continously increase, reaching a new peak of Number 11 at Spotify Global with almost 3 Million daily streams. Simultaneously, it climbed to #1 on iTunes in 61 countries, including Australia, Brazil, France, and Denmark.
In the United Kingdom, the single debuted at #30 on the Official Singles Chart, marking the highest solo UK chart placement for any BTS member to date. It also claimed the top spot on both the UK Official Singles Sales and Downloads Charts, further solidifying J-Hope’s reputation as a leading soloist in the global K-pop scene.

The accompanying music video, released on YouTube, attracted over 1 million views within just 43 minutes, setting a new record for Korean soloists in 2025. Meanwhile, clips from the music video and behind-the-scenes content quickly went viral on social media platforms like TikTok, with a dance snippet featuring TWICE’s Sana garnering 6.7 million views.
J-Hope’s return to the stage was also met with fanfare. On June 13, he debuted “Killin’ It Girl” live during the final leg of his solo concert series “Hope on the Stage” in Seoul. BTS members were spotted in attendance, sparking excitement about the group’s upcoming reunion.

In a recent interview with People Magazine, J-Hope reflected on his solo comeback following his military discharge earlier this year. “This is my way of showing a bolder side of myself,” he said. “‘Killin’ It Girl’ expresses a magnetic pull — something intense, emotional, and stylish. It’s about confidence and desire.”
