Watsons has unveiled four new Greener Stores in Bonifacio Global City, marking a major step forward in its sustainability journey and raising the bar for eco-friendly retail in the country.
Following the successful debut of its first Greener Store in San Pedro, Laguna in June 2024, Watsons is expanding its green footprint with upgraded, energy-efficient locations at High Street Plaza, Eco Tower, Bonifacio Technology Center, and Forbeswood Parklane. These stores are designed to reduce carbon emissions, conserve resources, and minimize landfill waste, all while promoting sustainable shopping choices.

Each store utilizes sustainable materials, LED lighting, inverter appliances, and eco-friendly fixtures. Watsons also offsets its energy use by purchasing Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs) to support renewable energy sources.
Operational waste is sorted for recycling or upcycling, and some electrical components are repurposed to minimize waste. In addition, all store fixtures can be reused and refurbished for other Watsons stores, further supporting sustainability and reducing environmental impact.
Meanwhile, in-store signage and trained staff help educate shoppers about making more eco-conscious choices. To support this vision, Watsons offers a curated lineup of Sustainable Choices products featuring clean beauty, refill packs, and better packaging options.
Watsons continues to set new standards in health and beauty retail, with more Greener Stores in the works to drive a positive impact on the planet.
Green shopping is made easy as Watsons now offers Sustainable Choices — a curated collection featuring Clean Beauty, Better Ingredients, Refill Packs and Better Packaging, all responsibly sourced, all easy to find in BGC Greener Stores.

FOSTERING A CULTURE OF SUSTAINABILITY. “Our vision is to create more Watsons Greener Stores, reducing our environmental impact and embedding sustainability into our daily operations. This transformation is not just about infrastructure but about fostering a culture of sustainability,” said Sharon Decapia, SAVP for Marketing, PR & Sustainability.
