Specialists highlighted the main challenges affecting the local sector and provided suggestions on how to more effectively tackle the nation’s economic and cultural development.
The Department of Trade and Industry officially launched the second season of its Young Creatives Challenge, expanding the competition to include elementary and high school students besides the regular edition for young adults. The challenge invites Filipino youth to showcase creativity under the themes of love, creativity, and the future.

The young creatives of the Philippines proved to be equal in talent during the first season of YC2 to such an extent that the DTI raises the bar from the competition. For creative fields such as songwriting, screenwriting, playwriting, graphic novels, animation, game development, and online content creation, cash prizes await the winners of its regular edition. Top winners in each category can bring home a prize of up to PHP 1 million. Elementary and high school will focus on songwriting, short story writing, creation of the graphic novel, and even online content.
