SEN. Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go lead the groundbreaking ceremony with Bulacan Vice Gov. Alex Castro, Third District Rep. Lorna Silverio and San Rafael Mayor Mark Cholo Violago of the Super Health Center (SHC) in Barangay Sampaloc, San Rafael, Bulacan last month.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the P9.9-million health facility was also graced by movie and television personality Phillip Salvador, Vice Mayor Marilyn Veneracion, members of the Sangguiniang Panlalawigan, Association of Barangay Captains representatives and personnel from the Department of Health (DoH).
Senator Go shared that seven SHCs in Bulacan were funded under the 2022 national budget and these are located in the towns of Bulakan, Guiguinto, Balagtas, Meycauayan City, City of San Jose del Monte, San Miguel and Pandi. The SHCs to be built in the towns of San Ildefonso, San Rafael, Baliwag, Plaridel, Marilao, Obando, Paombong and Angat, however, were funded from the 2023 national budget.
Go said these 15 SHCs in the province are worth more than P172 million allotted from the General Appropriations Act.
Once operational, the San Rafael SHC will offer services such as database management, outpatient, birthing, isolation, diagnostic (laboratory: X-ray, ultrasound), pharmacy, and ambulatory surgical unit.
Other available services are eye, ear, nose and throat service; oncology centers; physical therapy and rehabilitation center; and telemedicine, where remote diagnosis and treatment of patients will be done. It is also designed to be flexible with different types of treatment in the future.
