A proposal made since August 2001 and constructions beginning during the Duterte administration and their Build! Build! Build! Program with a budget of 75 billion pesos, the 22 kilometer MRT-7 that stretches from North Avenue, Quezon City to San Jose del Monte, Bulacan is expected to reduce travel time between the two locations from hours to minutes is now 60.93% complete claimed the Transport Secretary Arthur Tugade.
With 14 stations, the railway is expected to accommodate up to 300,000 to 850,000 passengers daily.
Trial runs with no passengers is expected to be conducted by April 2022 and full operations by the fourth quarter of the same year.
