MANILA, Philippines — Asian Hospital and Medical Center (AHMC) had successfully vaccinated its employees with the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
This day was an important event in the AHMC’s efforts in protecting and equipping their medical staff and employees from the lethal virus.
AHMC supported the government and the Department of Health’s inoculation program, with a firm belief that this is the country’s hope in its fight for COVID-19.
Despite the recent surges of COVID cases, the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine gives hope as we move toward recovering and rebuilding the country after the curbing and demeaning effects of the COVID-19 virus in the lives of Filipino people.
In line with this, the AHMC formed a Vaccination Task Force that focuses on the inoculation program, which includes members of the medical community from different units of the hospital. This includes the personnel from the Human Resources, Infection Prevention and Control Committee, Pharmacy Services, Quality Management, Medical Informatics, and Corporate Communications.
This task force is mandated to do team monitoring and attending to concerns on the adverse effects of the immunization to every person who received the vaccine.
Dr. Jose Acuin, Chief Medical Officer of AHMC, was the first receiver of the first and second dose of the vaccine. Together with a team of multidisciplinary professionals, their action had installed confidence in the vaccine’s effectiveness, and encourage more personnel to be vaccinated.
This second dose of the vaccine will also be given to the 3,000 employees including the doctors, nurses and other hospital personnel and workers.
