MANILA, Philippines — The retailers of liquefied petroleum gas or (LPG) will reduce prices in April due to the recent reductions of its global prices.
Public was informed through a text advisory. Petron Corporation announced that it will implement a P3.30 per kilogram decrease in the LPG prices, which will be effective at 12:01 a.m., April 1.
They also announced that AutoLPG prices will be reduced by P1.85 per liter at the same time.
“These reflect the international contract price of LPG for the month of April,” Petron said.
Other LPG retailers did not announce their respective price adjustments yet, but it is also expected that an adjustment on their LPG products will happen.
The local petroleum retailers track the monthly price benchmark that is being set by Saudi Arabia’s state-owned oil company, Saudi Aramco. In the recent benchmarking, they reduced propane prices by $65 per ton, which will be deducted to the $650 a ton for the month of April.
