Alden Richards has been tapped by the Department of Health (DOH) as ambassador for its Bida Solusyon/ COVID -19 project campaign against the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines. Even before pandemic happened, Alden Richards has been very hands on, on his health. He makes sure he eats healthy, exercise regularly, and gets enough sleep. Now, he makes sure he strictly observing health safety protocols such as wearing face mask and face shield especially now that he has gone back to work on Eat, Bulaga and the GMA Sunday show All – Out – Sundays.
The BIDA in DOH campaign means:
B stands for “Bawal walang mask,” that aim to protect people from spreading the virus.
I is for “I-sanitize ang mga kamay. Iwas hawak sa mga bagay,” noting how cleaning of hands are very important to help stay safe from the virus.
D, which is for “Dumistansya ng isang metro,” talks about the importance of maintaining distance to avoid close contact with others whether they’re positive from the virus or not.
A stands for “Alamin ang totoong impormasyon” that emphasizes on the importance of fact – checking to avoid fake news.
“Samahan ang ating BIDA champion na si Alden Richards na talunin ang COntraVIDa!… Ikaw, ako, tayong lahat—we can all #BIDASolusyon sa COVID-19!,” DOH wrote.
