The scent of cherry blossoms wafts at Raffles Makati as the hotel’s very own Raffles Singapore-inspired Writers Bar continues its themed afternoon series with the Sakura Afternoon Tea.
In partnership with Swissôtel Nankai Osaka, the Japan-inspired afternoon tea menu is designed by Pastry Chef Yuki Nakamura. This heady afternoon pastime celebrates Japanese springtime and tradition.
Tea aficionados and amateurs alike may indulge in the exquisitely crafted Sakura Afternoon Tea set paired with select fine teas from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM daily, starting March 2 until May 31 for only Php 1,500 for two.
The lavish assortment features tasty delights like a Sakura-smoked salmon with Daikon pickles, Okonomiyaki; Negi Miso chicken burger; cold soba noodles; and some Japanese rice crackers.
To add, the set includes sweet and delectable pastries such as Sakura coconut rocher; Sakura and cream cheese mousse; Dorayaki; Sakura ad tea pound cake; Matcha roll; and Sakura panna cotta.
Not to be ignored are the freshly baked Sakura scones paired by traditional clotted cream, strawberry preserves, and lemon curd.
