The Oscar-winning film “Forrest Gump” is getting a Bollywood remake kudos to the people behind Viacom18 Studios. The remake will have Bollywood star Aamir Khan playing Tom Hanks’ role in the film being titled “Laal Singh Chaddha.”
Laal Singh Chaddha is being directed by Advait Chandan, who is best known for directing the movie Secret Superstar, while actor Aamir Khan will be playing the simple minded Sikh protagonist.
Acting alongside Khan is actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, a major star in Bollywood right now who also has been casted together with Aamir Khan in 2009 “3 idiots”.
Laal Singh Chaddha is expected to be released in the winter of 2020.
