Online shopping is my escape. If I had the option to buy everything I need online, I will. I mean, who is willing to brave the traffic in Metro Manila? I can’t even enumerate how many times I’ve gone to the mall to end up empty-handed.
In contrast, online shopping is so convenient. I can do it anywhere there’s data, online stores provide easy navigation and filtered results to accommodate my wants and needs, and I can even compare prices.
My only gripe I have is the waiting time for the package delivery and choking cloud of anxiety I get when my package is stalled. Not all couriers provide accurate tracking, and I get apprehensive about my payment security at times when Cash on Delivery and Paypall isn’t available. Some couriers will message that the package will arrive on a specific day, so I free up my schedule or delegate a representative to claim it, but there are times that they don’t deliver. It’s extremely frustrating.
I attended a press conference for RAMCO ERP x AP Cargo sometime ago. The president of AP Cargo Mr. Virgilio Villacorte took a leap in partnering with RAMCO ERP because it is a costly move, and I can understand. But for a company that has more than 5000 transactions daily, logistics is a mighty challenge.
As I learned more about the RAMCO solutions, I put myself in Mr. Villacorte’s shoes. RAMCO provides a platform that is cohesive in terms of end-to-end transactions, it enables transparent operations which lessens the stress of worrying about deliveries, it is constantly updated through the cloud server, and stores offline information to be updated automatically once data is back. For someone who has the resources like AP Cargo, it is a wise investment for long-term profit maximization and in coping with the technology-driven generation that we have transitioned to.
Now as an individual realizing that services like RAMCO exist in this reality, it gave me a pretty good forecast that perhaps in the future the current frustrations I deal with in my online shopping will be a thing of the past.
