The 47th Miss Intercontinental is fast approaching. It is the Philippines’ first time to host the Miss Intercontinental. The Miss Intercontinental Organization (MIO) is glad that the hosting country is the Philippines. Detlef Tursies, the President and CEO of Miss Intercontinental said that they have been looking forward for this event to happen in the country. During the Miss Intercontinental Media Presentation, Karen Gallman bagged the Darling of the Press Award and Standout Beauty Award. Gallman is really proud that the event will happen in the Philippines. In her AVP for Miss Intercontinental she said, “With Miss Intercontinental 2018 being held in my nation, it makes me very proud because not only I’ll have my country supporting me there on stage every minute, but because it gives everyone on the outside the chance to see our amazing country.”
Last year, Philippines was close to getting the title of Miss Intercontinental. Karen Gallman has been under a wild training ground considering that Philippines hasn’t won the crown.
