The Philippine Red Cross requires 2,500 to 3,000 blood units to reach the demand of Filipinos. With this kind of plea, the organization is in need of healthy citizens who are willing to donate their precious blood.
Every day, the Philippine Red Cross sees to it that they reach people who are in need of blood, especially in times of emergencies, such as accidents, serious health problems, typhoons, earthquakes, and fires.
Fortinet Philippines, a global leader in high-performance cybersecurity solutions, supported the Philippine Red Cross by inviting their team, colleagues, friends, families, and other blood participating donors in the event. Their objective was to start an annual charitable act through its #FortinetCares program for 2017. The members who joined the activity were the Philippine National Police-Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG), MSI-ECS, MEC Networks, Trends, and Microbase.
Jeff Castillo, regional director of Fortinet Philippines, said that “with this kind of activity, we hope to give back to the community and save lives.”
