The Philippines kicked off the official pre-pageant activities last January 15, 2017, as part of its hosting the Ms. Universe 2017.
The eighty-six candidates visited different tourist attractions as they got to explore the many sights and sounds of the Philippines.
Here are some of the highlights of their tour.
Binondo, Manila
Miss Angola, Luisa Baptista; Miss Georgia, Nuka Karalashvili; Miss Denmark, Christina Mikkelsen; and Miss Guam, Muneka Joy Cruz Taisipic boarded the iconic jeepney to visit the busy town of Binondo to hold a photoshoot featuring the area’s famous establishments. as well as the Philippines’ iconic jeepney.

Vigan City
Candidates also visited the picturesque city of Vigan where a fashion show was held showcasing the traditional Philippine terno. The activity was held along Calle Crisologo and Plaza Burgos.

Boracay
Meanwhile, some candidates headed to Boracay for a photo-shoot on the white-sand beaches that has made the island world-famous. Other activities they participated in included weaving nets, making fish houses, and participating in a dragon boat activity.

Nasugbu, Batangas
Ms. Universe 2016 winner, Pia Wurtzbach and 16 other candidates went at an exclusive beach club in Batangas for a swimsuit photo shoot.
The delegates who sailed from Manila to Pico de Loro aboard former governor Chavit Singson’s yacht were candidates from Croatia, Belize, Sri Lanka, Costa Rica, Iceland, Curacao, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Portugal, Panama, Germany, Jamaica, Angola, Bolivia, Georgia, and Romania.

Baguio City
Twenty-four candidates, on the other hand, visited Baguio for the floral parade. Three flower-covered floats representing the islands of “Luzon,” “Visayas,” and “Mindanao,” where showcased and served as the ride of the candidates..

Finally, all the 86 candidates traveled to Cebu for the swimsuit presentation at the JPark Island Resort and Waterpark, on January 17.
