Planning for road trips or visit to the malls next week? Make sure that you are in the know because the number coding scheme for vehicles will not be lifted on Nov. 13-15 even as those days have been declared as non-working days, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said.
MMDA Asst. Gen. Manager Jojo Garcia said the government has suspended work and classes on the said dates to clear roads that will be used during the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit here in Manila.
The Philippines will play host to the regional bloc’s summit next week which will be held in Manila and Clark, Pampanga.
Garcia added that convoys of state leaders, and ASEAN delegates will be given priority to use roads near the venues of the summit. MMDA discourages the public from going to malls near the venue of the summit to lessen traffic.
