Renewing their partnership, Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) as well as CIS Bayad Centre Inc. (Bayad Centre) have reiterated their commitment to promoting financial inclusion in the country. The aim of this joint initiative is twofold; it seeks to provide people with access to RCBC’s digital offerings and at the same time ensure that its network of outlets spread all over the country remains intact.
The renewed partnership is focusing on two key areas:
RCBC DiskarTech: DiskarTech, the Philippines’ first multilingual app for financial inclusion, enables users to make bank transactions such as deposits, savings, withdrawals and bill payments among many others. The company also ensures that DiskarTech users can conveniently pay bills across various categories like utilities, telecommunications, government contributions, loans, credit cards and more thanks to the partnership with Bayad Centre. Moreover, Bayad Center outlets will now serve as cash deposit and withdrawal channels for DiskarTech customers.
RCBC ATM Go: RCBC’s ATM Go is a mobile point-of-system in the country without any bank restrictions while it provides basic banking services including money withdrawal from your Bancnet card account; fund transfer between your accounts; balance inquiry into your account. The expansion of these essential services includes more ATM Go terminals being set up by Bayad Center within its branches.
Both institutions come together in this collaboration, a thing which significantly makes the best out of both. The former offers numerous payment methods’ locations that are more than 40,000 across the country while the later provides innovative digital financial products.
“This rekindled alliance with Bayad Center is an exciting development,” revealed Lito Villanueva, RCBC chief innovation and inclusion officer. “Our collective pursuit for greater accessibility of financial solutions to Filipinos is strengthened by this partnership in line with the goals of both RCBC and the Philippine government.”
Financial inclusion in the Philippines has been given a boost by this renewed partnership between RCBC and Bayad Center. They can combine their resources so as to bring basic financial services to a larger section of people particularly those who live in unbanked and underserved communities.
