According to a research by HR Asia, the region’s largest and most reputable publication for human resources professionals and talent management executives, renewable energy company Energy Development Corporation (EDC) is among the best companies to work for in Asia.
HR Asia, a publication of Business Media International (BMI), uses a unique organizational poll to assess a company’s standing as a top employer in its industry. The CORE, Self, and Group dimensions of employee engagement are covered by HR Asia’s Total Engagement Assessment Model (TEAM), which assesses the efficacy of management efforts.
CORE, or the Collective Organization for Real Engagement, assesses organizational culture and ethics, leadership, and programs for employee growth, self-actualization, and wellbeing. Self, on the other hand, gauges the attitudes and actions of employees, including feelings of pride, belonging, and job ownership. Focusing on team dynamics, workplace attitudes, and collective consciousness.
In terms of human resource management and employee engagement, EDC scored better than the market average on all three indices, establishing it as a model company. It has received the BMI HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia Award 2022 in recognition of its achievements.

The company’s extensive COVID-19 response program for employees, known as Tindog EDC, was launched at the beginning of the pandemic and has now vaccinated 99.5% of its more than 1,600 employees, saving a total of P238 million.
