The Department of Tourism (DOT) has collaborated with UAE-based Emirates to advertise the country in Europe, the Middle East and other markets serviced by the airline.
DOT and Emirates signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) recently for the joint exploration and implementation of various activities to promote tourism in the Philippines with the goal of boosting inbound arrivals in the country.
This involves joint marketing efforts focused on branded advertising and promotional campaigns targeting Europe inbound traffic to the Philippines.
Both parties will also utilize digital marketing strategies tapping into the different social media platforms and other e-marketing campaign initiatives to assert the Philippines’ presence in the international travel market.
The agreement was signed by Tourism Undersecretary Benito Bengzon Jr. and Emirates country manager for the Philippines Satishi Sethi.
